For more than four decades, John Hewett has served families and communities through ministry, counseling, and faith-based guidance. Alongside his wife Kim, he has lived out the very principles he now shares in his book Lasting Love: 12 Principles of Marriages that Last.
John’s story is one of faith, family, and resilience built on the belief that small acts of understanding can heal and strengthen relationships.
A Life of Service and Compassion
John and his wife Kim have been married for over forty years and have raised seven children five adopted and one still at home.
A graduate of Arkansas Tech University (B.A. Social Studies) and John Brown University (M.S. Counseling), John has spent his life serving as a pastor and counselor, helping hundreds of families discover hope and direction.
He founded Arms of Compassion, a ministry devoted to helping those in need, and continues to inspire others through his writing.
Though diagnosed with Parkinson’s more than fifteen years ago, John’s mission remains the same to encourage, guide, and help others find meaningful answers to life’s questions.

John’s goal is simple: to share timeless truths in plain, practical language that anyone can understand and apply. His writing reflects humility, honesty, and a deep faith that love can always be restored and renewed.
